Skinning The Cat

Welcome to the firsts Inter-State Investigative Services blog post.  Here we will discuss relevant topics that may be of interest and offer insight into the complex and diverse legal world in which we operate.

Many people enduring a personal crisis or hardship often do not consider how a private investigator might be able to assist them in their time of need.  Having a disinterested third party on your side does many things for the party of interest, both in the short term and the long term, but perhaps most importantly it allows for a new point of view.

Private investigators (or private detectives) have the ability to examine a situation from alternate points of view, often critically, ensuring that a difficult situation is approached from the right angle to ensure that the chances for a desirable result are maximized.  Often we see things that clients (mainly attorneys and insurance companies) do not, whether it be in mitigation work, criminal defense or insurance claim investigations.  Sometimes what we see is useful, sometimes is not the case.  The point is that the more creative, critical brains that are working on your case, the better chances of success you will have.

A phrase that often comes to mind when I’m working is “how many ways can I skin this cat.”  You might be surprised at what kind of creative results that line of thinking produces, yielding critical information previously not even considered.  It’s a very effective way to find that “needle in a haystack” that often means the difference to a favorable outcome.
