Signs of a Top Arizona Private Investigator
For many of our clients, the first time they call Inter-State will be the first time they speak with a private investigator. Understandably, people are unsure of what to expect and what to look for when making a hiring decision. While this certainly isn’t an exhaustive list, here are some key characteristics to look for when hiring an investigator:
1. Do they answer your phone calls? If not, do they promptly return voice messages and email?
This one may seem like a no-brainer, but you should be able to easily communicate with your investigator when you need to. If an investigator fails to answer your calls or doesn’t return messages, they might be too busy to give your case the attention it deserves, or they may not be treating your case as a priority. Both of which are not desirable traits.
2. Does your investigator update your on the progress of his investigation?
A good investigator should have no issue telling you what she plans on doing, what she’s done thus far, and whether she has found any relevant information. To do otherwise would deprive the client the right to make choices about how an investigation in conducted.
3. Is your investigator honest with you?
A good investigator should be truthful about what exactly she can (and more importantly, cannot) do to help your case. A good investigator should be willing to provide this information before establishing a client relationship. Be wary of an investigator who will not provide specifics about their investigation before the client relationship is formed.
This is not a complete list, by any means, but should help in your decision making process. Insist upon candor and transparency, a good investigator will have no problem freely sharing information with their client.
